Paul Warson

 I was born and raised in Studio City, California and left in 1990 to attend the University of California, Davis.  Although I initially headed to college to major in Biology in anticipation of going to medical school, my path took a very different turn.  Ultimately I began taking classes in the fermentation science department, all in hopes of perfecting the home brew that my roommates and I had started concocting.  As I began to delve further into fermentation science and subsequently viticulture and enology,  I stumbled upon my passion: “winemaking”.  After my college graduation in 1995, I started working internships at various Northern California wineries in addition to a harvest in New South Wales, Australia.  Upon my return to the United States, I found myself making wine in Napa, California where I remained until 2009.  At that time I left the area to move south to the Santa Ynez Valley, where I was the Winemaker for a large well-known winery, in addition to several smaller wine labels.  In 2016, it was apparent that my parents, who still reside in Studio City needed full time live-in assistance.  As a result, I along with my wife and 3 kids moved back to the San Fernando Valley to take on this responsibility.  It is my hope that my expertise and knowledge of wine making in both wineries and vineyards may be a great asset to the Southern California wine regions.
